Our UK client wanted to launch a signature holiday collection featuring the classic Nutcracker character. The goal was to create a functional wax warmer that retained the intricate details of traditional wooden Nutcracker soldiers while using heat-resistant ceramic.



1. Conceptual Design: Size & Functionality Optimization

In the OEM ceramic production process, bigger isn’t always better. For our Nutcracker wax warmer project, we determined that a height of 10cm–13cm was the "sweet spot" for a desktop ornament.

• Design Strategy: We focused on a detailed head and torso design, omitting the legs to ensure a lower center of gravity and better stability during heat exposure.

• Engineering for Safety: To ensure the product meets global safety standards, we incorporated hidden ventilation holes in the ceramic body. This allows for essential heat dissipation, preventing the exterior from overheating—a critical detail for high-quality wholesale wax burners.





2. Visual Appeal vs. Budgetary Reality

Every custom brand wants a "wow" factor. Initially, our Nutcracker prototype featured expensive gold-painted accents on the crown and uniform. While stunning, the initial cost was estimated at $3.50/unit.

• The Cost-Effective Solution: By analyzing the client’s market positioning, we proposed replacing the gold pigment with a crisp white glaze for the buttons and trim.

• The Result: This simple adjustment maintained the festive charm while reducing the unit cost to $2.50.



3. Scaling to Mass Production

With the design and cost finalized, the client placed an initial order of 15,000 pcs.
